What's online for faculty?

The TCC libraries are open, and we look forward to working with you again.
In addition to our regular in-person services, we are still providing services online to support your students' learning experience.

Contact a Librarian

Contact your campus librarians to assist you in identifying resources for your classes, to schedule library instruction, or to get answers to any of your library questions.

To find quick answers to frequently asked questions or get immediate assistance via chat use the link below.

Library Materials

Library books, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and board games are now available to check out.

TCC Faculty and Staff can also request InterLibrary Loan items if the TCC library catalog does not have the book or article you need.

E-books and Streaming Videos

E-books and Streaming Video are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Most can easily be embedded into online courses. Use the tabs of the Library Catalog search to select E-books or Streaming Video.

Open Educational Resources (OER)

Open Educational Resources, or OER, are freely accessible and openly licensed digital assets that can be used for teaching, learning, and assessing learning. Several repositories of these free-to-use materials are available.

Device Requests

TCC Faculty may request a laptop or other computing device by emailing digital.needs@tccd.edu.

If you have a student who is in need of a device to access their classes or complete coursework, please have the student complete the online form at the link below.

Online Library Instruction

TCC librarians are available to assist you with providing library orientations, assignment-specific instruction, and information literacy instruction to students remotely. There are a variety of options.

1.  Invite a librarian to visit your class virtually. This may be a single session within Canvas, or you may choose to embed your librarian in your Canvas course for ongoing collaboration throughout the semester. Interested in learning more? Use the spreadsheet on the left to contact a librarian for more details.

2. Link a video or text-based library tutorial within your Canvas course page. We have several premade options that you can choose from, or, contact a librarian to ask about subject- or assignment-specific videos for your class.

3. Add one of our online research guides to your Canvas course page.

Don't see an online research guide for your course? No problem! Ask a librarian to build one just for you and your students!

Article Databases

Our article databases and electronic resources remain available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Remote Teaching Support

TCC is prepared to help faculty with either face-to-face (F2F) or remote delivery. Resources have been created to support faculty and students.

For additional support, contact faculty.support@tccd.edu.

Campus Applications and Programs

TCC’s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) service for faculty, staff, and students is now available.

What is VDI?

VDI allows TCC users to log in to a Windows 10 virtual desktop from anywhere they have internet access. Using VDI is like to logging in to an on-campus computer, but provides users with remote access to many applications commonly found on campus computers.
