GEOL 1405 SE Caputi: Citing Your Sources

You may use your favorite citation style for this project. Please make sure you use the same style throughout your assignment. Some common styles used at TCC include APA and MLA.

Plagiarism: Don't Do It and How to Avoid It

According to the TCC Student Code of Conduct, "plagiarism" includes, but is not limited to, the use, by paraphrase or direct quotation, of the published or unpublished work of another person without clear and full acknowledgment. It also includes the unacknowledged use of materials prepared by another person or agency engaged in the selling of term papers and other academic materials.

Plagiarism and its consequences are easy to avoid!

1. Do your own work.

2. Acknowledge other people's work. (How? Cite it!)

The APA Plagiarism Tutorial will teach you how to properly cite and paraphrase information in your chosen citation style. Please see the resources on this page for more information. If you have any questions or concerns, ask your instructor, a librarian, or a writing tutor for help.
