  • A client report form (summary of the session and notification of participation) will be sent to your professor via email when you participate in a live, interactive online session or workshop or a written feedback session.

Overview of Online Services

Live, interactive online sessions

Discuss your writing or assignment with an ALC tutor using voice chat/audio and collaborative document sharing! This session type provides an experience very similar to a face-to-face session. A device larger than a smartphone is recommended, and you will need access to a microphone and headphones/speakers. Plan to interact with your tutor. Sessions are up to 50 minutes long.

To book a session, visit tccd.mywconline.com and select "NW Academic Learning Center 2020-2021" when choosing a schedule.

Be sure to upload your document and assignment instructions to the appointment form.

Written feedback sessions

Submit your document, assignment instructions, and questions and receive written comments and suggestions within 24 business hours. This is a great option for students that are not able to meet with a tutor through a live, interactive session. You will receive feedback as an email attachment and also attached to your client report form on WCOnline. For instructions on accessing feedback, see our Steb-by-Step Guide to NW ALC Online Services

To book a written feedback session, visit tccd.mywconline.com and select "NW Academic Learning Center 2020-2021" when choosing a schedule.

Be sure to upload your document and assignment instructions to the appointment form and include specific questions in the comment box.

Learn how to access the feedback from your tutor after your written feedback session by watching our Accessing your Written Feedback video.

Live, interactive online workshops

Brush up on writing and academic skills by working with an ALC tutor on a topic from our list of commonly needed skills. A tutor will walk you though a mini lesson on the topic, and you'll have a chance to practice and develop your skills throughout.
