According to the TCC Student Code of Conduct, plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, the use, by paraphrase or direct quotation, of the published or unpublished work of another person without clear and full acknowledgement. It also includes the unacknowledged use of materials prepared by another person or agency engaged in the selling of term papers and other academic materials.
Plagiarism and its consequences are easy to avoid.
1. Do your own work.
2. Acknowledge other people's work.
The TCC Library MLA Plagiarism Tutorial or APA Plagiarism Tutorial will teach you how to properly cite and paraphrase information. If you have any questions or concerns, ask your professor, a librarian, or a writing tutor for help.
