Tarrant County College has planned a number of free public events to support the themes of Let's Talk About It: Women's Suffrage

Event Schedule

Books for the grant events can be checked out at the TCC Southeast Library. The discussions are free and open to anyone to attend, and non-TCC community members can request a courtesy card to check out books for the discussions. 

The Once and Future Witches

On September 22 at 3:30 PM, please join us for a discussion of The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow. The discussion will be moderated by TCC faculty members Yvonne Jocks, Madison Durapau, and Stephanie Hawkins. This event will be held in the Library Classroom, ESED 1212.

On September 28 at 3:30 PM, please join us for a discussion of Vanguard: How Black Women Broke Barriers, Won the Vote, and Insisted on Equality for All by Martha S. Jones. The discussion will be moderated by TCC faculty member Stephanie Hawkins. This event will be held in the Library Classroom, ESED 1212.

On September 14 at 2:00 PM, please join us for a screening and discussion of Wonder Women! The Untold Story of American Superheroines in the Library Classroom, ESED 1212. This documentary offers a critique of the portrayal of women in popular culture.
