The print books listed below may help with learning concepts covered in CHEM 1405. If a book you want is not at your campus, you can have it transferred through the request option in the library catalog.
The Atom: A Visual Tour investigates the quest to identify the smallest, most fundamental constituents of matter--and how that quest helps us to understand what everything is made of and how it all works.
Chemistry Made Easy includes over 300 illustrations to help you visualize the major concepts of chemistry.
Let's Review: Chemistry discusses all high school-level chemistry topics and includes a topic review covering atomic structure, chemical formulas and equations, the mathematics of chemistry, thermochemistry and thermodynamics, the phases of matter, chemical periodicity, chemical bonding, and much more.
Whether you're a student or an adult looking to refresh your knowledge, Barron's Painless Chemistry provides review and practice in an easy, step-by-step format.
The Periodic Table in Minutes outlines the history, development and workings of the table, shows how its design reflects and illuminates the organisation of all matter, and even explains what it has to tell us about the chemistry of distant stars and of our own bodies.
Reactions: An Illustrated Exploration of Elements, Molecules, and Change in the Universe begins with a brief recap of elements and molecules and then explains the important concepts that characterize a chemical reaction.
Rigorous review and practice outside the classroom is essential to excelling in your beginning chemistry class--and on your exams. Thoroughly updated to meet the emphasis in current courses, Schaum's Outline of Beginning Chemistry, Fifth Edition works as a supplement to your textbooks, a go-to chemistry reference, and practice guide to give you the confidence, skills, and knowledge you need to succeed.
