TRACE Awards: Faculty/Staff TRACE Awards

Award Categories

The Disney Award will go to the individual who best exemplifies the seven principles outlined in the book Inside the Magic Kingdom, namely:

1. The competition is anyone the customer compares you with

5. Customers are best heard through many ears

6. Reward, recognize, and celebrate

7. Everyone makes a difference

The Hallmark Awards honor someone who best exemplified the 7 Hallmarks upon which the Trinity River Campus was founded, namely:

1. Unshakeable focus on student learning

2. Service and community engagement

3. Strong, open communication

4. Professional and personal growth

5. Multicultural competence and language acquisition

6. Interdisciplinary collaboration

7. Wellness

Only at TRC are adjuncts eligible for their own award!  While they are also eligible for any of the TRACE awards, Trinity River Campus would like to recognize an individual who truly excels at being an adjunct.  We could not do all we do for our students without their help, and we'd like to thank them.

Some of the traits we feel embody an outstanding adjunct are:

  • Efforts beyond the classroom

  • Service on district or campus committees

  • Service time out of the classroom

  • Personal interest in students

  • Engaging and enthusiastic teaching style

  • Mentor-ship of students and/or other teachers

  • Approachability

  • Involvement in student activities

This award is to recognize a person whose behavior, reliability, and work ethic are exemplary and whose attitude brings to life the philosophy of the Hallmarks and the spirit of Disney.

This award will recognize one faculty member for their role in supporting, encouraging, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment and contributing to the personal and professional development of TCC Students. This faculty member should continually serve as a role model of professionalism by modeling appropriate professional behavior and positive professional standards.
