Self-Care for New and Student Nurses presents techniques to prepare you for stressors present now and those to come. No matter where you are in your nursing career, this book offers you multiple ways to prioritize your own mental, physical, and emotional health.

When Chicken Soup Isn't Enough

When Chicken Soup Isn't Enough brings together compelling personal narratives from a wide range of nurses from across the globe. Gordon and the authors of the essays contained in this book have much to say about the strengths and shortcomings of health care today--and the role that nurses play as irreplaceable agents of change.

What Makes A Good Nurse

Derek Sellman sets out the case for re-establishing the primacy of the virtues that underpin the practice of nursing in order to address the question: what makes a good nurse? This original and thought-provoking book will be essential reading for nurses and nursing students, care workers, care commissioners, and many others who work in the caring professions.

Tenderly Lift Me

This is the first book in the Literature and Medicine Series that concentrates on nurses' voices and their experiences with providing health care. It enhances and extends perspectives on how health care is understood and delivered by recognizing nurses as the primary care givers.

Florence Nightingale's Notes on Nursing

Named a 2013 Doody's Core Title "This beautiful book bound in red leather includes an in-depth history about each version and the preparation and publishing of Nightingale's works. What is very interesting is the editor's commentary on the bibliographical and social history behind the various versions. The editor's research clearly describes Nightingale's legacy and the effect it has had on contemporary nursing as well as nursing's future."

The Student's Guide to Becoming a Nurse

The Student's Guide to Becoming a Nurse is an essential guide for all student nurses who want to become competent practitioners. It explores the knowledge, skills and attitudes that all pre-registration nursing students must acquire by the end of their programme of study, enabling them to become confident, successful nurses.

Nursing Professionals

If you are interested in a career as a nurse, you've come to the right book. So what exactly do these people do on the job, day in and day out?  Is this even the right career path for you? How do you avoid burnout and deal with stress? This book can help you answer these questions and more.
