This guide is for students enrolled in MATH 1314 classes. The resources listed here will help you find success in algebra.

Practice Tests, Tutorials, Videos, and More Ebooks

Below are three library databases with very helpful practice tests, tutorials, videos, and more ebooks for algebra.

You will need to set up a free account to use all the features in LearningExpress. There are several levels of algebra practice:

  • Algebra Practice and Tutorials 
    • Ebooks:

      • Algebra Success in 20 Minutes a Day, 5th ed.

    • Practice Tests with explanations
      • Algebra, Patterns, & Functions 1-5
  • Math Skills Review: practice tests for various concepts are under the Basic Algebra section 

LinkedIn Learning offers video classes, including practice sets. Watch the whole video or just the sections you need to review.

You will have to search within Mometrix for study materials, but it is well worth the effort!

  • Mometrix Academy: Click the link to Mometrix Academy on the left side of the Mometrix homepage and scroll down to the Subject Review section. The Math Review has video tutorials on various math concepts. 
  • Search Box: Use the search box at the top of the main Mometrix page to find ebooks, practice tests, and online flashcards. Some searches you might try are algebra or SAT math to find review resources.

Websites Outside the Library

If you are having trouble with a concept, look for different explanations of it. The more ways you hear something explained, the more likely you are to find an explanation that clicks for you. There are a number of websites that offer math help.
