About the Job
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a free peer-led program that can help students succeed in historically difficult courses via guided study sessions. We encourage collaboration between students while also showing them what to focus on studying and how to do it. These SI Leaders are students who have successfully taken the course they support with a B or better, have at least 12 credit hours completed with a 3.0 or better GPA. SI Leaders sit in on lectures to stay up to date on what is currently being covered in the course. Using this information, SI Leaders plan these free SI sessions to go over the material in different ways, such as collaborating on study guides or turning higher stress material into lower stress activities and games to really engage students with the content.
