Need Writing Help Online?

Trinity River’s online Writing Center is now OPEN for business

Meet us in MyTCC!

The Writing Center offers both synchronous and asynchronous online tutoring. Live, online, face-to-face (synchronous) tutoring is available to students for help with any paper, any class, any time during open lab hours. For those unfamiliar with document sharing, students may simply email the tutor with their paper and go over it together live on the phone (somewhat asynchronous).

During online tutoring appointments, students will learn how to share papers (editable) from OneDrive and use their telephones or VoIP to edit documents simultaneously with tutors. For VoIP or webcam, face-to-face online, students may use  Microsoft Teams, Skype, or Zoom, or whatever they are most comfortable with. Each appointment is now one-hour instead of the previous 30-minute session. Students can make appointments through Tutortrac, at https://canvas.tccd.edu/courses/35270/pages/writing-and-reading-support or call  817-515-1069 and leave their name, student ID number, and requested appointment time. A member of the Writing Center staff will reach out to the student to confirm the appointment and if needed, provide login instructions.

Our online hours for Fall are M-F 7:30 am - 9 pm and Saturday 10 am - 4 pm. We hope to work with you soon online. Thank you.
