Finding Books and Other Resources

The TCC Library web page gives you access to materials from all of the campus libraries. It will locate print books and online articles from the library's subscription databases, and also give you access to other electronic materials such as ebooks, audiobooks, and streaming videos.

A good way to start is to type the topic you are researching in the main search box.

Finding Articles in the Library Databases

The databases that the Tarrant County College Libraries subscribe to are as varied as the topics students may have for their informative speeches. Here are a small sampling of databases you might consider using to find articles about the topic of your informative speech.

Can't I Just Google It?

The simple answer is no, you can't just Google it. The TCC libraries pay for your access to the databases we provide, therefore that information is not available for free on the internet. Our vendors want to make sure that only TCC students access this information, which is why you have to login when you are using an off-campus computer.

Database Tutorials

Tutorials on using the different TCC library subscription databases can be found on the Database Tutorial Page.
