Your Turn!

Now that you have demonstrated you understand what keywords are and how to develop them, try one or more of the databases and resources below. 

  1. Think of a topic in US History or a primary source. 
  2. Identify possible keywords.
  3. Use the databases and ebooks to develop additional keywords as you refine your search topic. 
  4. Create a log or mind map like you saw in the video to track and document your keywords.
