On April 9, 2020 Tarrant County College (TCC) received notice from the Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, of the availability of funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Securities (CARES) Act. The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) provides Colleges and Universities with money for direct financial assistance to students.
These funds must be provided to students to help cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This can include eligible expenses under a student's cost of attendance such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, transportation and childcare.
As a TCC student enrolled in Spring 2020 with a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you are eligible to receive funding from the HEERF Grant.
Please log into Self-Service Financial Aid to view your updated 2019-2020 Award Letter. A $600 HEERF Emergency Grant will be disburse to you through BankMobile. We encourage you to confirm your BankMobile refund selection and sign up for their text alerts.
